FAQs
What is Earth Stewardship and Permaculture?
1
While landscaping often prioritizes aesthetics, stewardship focuses on the health of the ecosystem, biodiversity, and the long-term vitality of the soil. This is about harmonizing your home and hearth with nature, and serving your highest good while giving back to the Earth.
Permaculture is a design system modelled on the patterns found in nature, as well as a community, healing, and sharing. It’s about creating "closed-loop" systems where every element supports another—people included—ensuring the land becomes more resilient, fertile, and self-sustaining over time without heavy chemical or mechanical intervention.
What is a Green Burial, and how does it support ecological conservation?
2
A green burial allows the body to return to the earth naturally, often in a biodegradable shroud or casket, without the use of embalming fluids or concrete vaults. This practice turns burial grounds into protected natural spaces, fostering new life rather than interrupting it.
What is a Legacy Garden, and what is its purpose?
3
Legacy gardens are spaces intentionally designed to honour a life, a relationship, or a significant transition. Through intentional plant selection (such as species that bloom on a certain anniversary) and mindful layout, a Legacy Garden provides a tangible place for ritual, reflection, and the transformation of grief into growth.
Most importantly of all, you are creating something for the dying person and helping to leave a living legacy behind — and if the person who is dying loves to garden or enjoys certain plants/flowers, this would be a great way to work on something together.
How do Earth Stewardship, end-of-life support, and vibrational work all connect?
4
Think of a mycelium network in nature, and how it connects to all the trees, allowing them to communicate and send aid/nutrients to one another.
So whether I am tending to soil, a person in transition, or a nervous system, the underlying goal is the same: restoring harmony and honouring natural cycles. I am helping clients overcome grief, restore their natural harmony, and feel heard and supported.
The Universe is vibration, and Earth Stewardship is a way to bring new growth, transformation into lives, and foster community resilience by bringing hearts and minds together both in times of joy and grief.
From small spaces, to gardens and homesteads — these are some of the transformation projects I’ve worked on:
